Amber Reints graduated from the University of Mankato with degrees in Biology and Psychology and graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Amber obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the University of Missouri. She has worked in the inpatient behavioral health setting for over 16 years supporting patients throughout the lifespan and their families. She was a clinical leader instrumental in developing and leading training for the treatment team in evidenced based interventions such as safety planning, means safety counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, crisis de-escalation, agitation and many more. Amber has her certificate in grief education and is passionate in supporting those who have experienced trauma or loss. Amber has experience in developing programs and assisted in the development of adult and adolescent addiction programs, a crisis stabilization unit, a behavioral health urgent care, and inpatient psychiatric units.
