Emily Hurst, DO, FACOI, began practicing in 2008 and since then has served as a hospitalist, intensivist, internal medicine program director and medical director. Providing care in both small communities and large academic centers gave her a wide variety of experience prior to joining the Avel eCare team in 2014. Dr. Hurst has held a crucial role in the expansion of the ICU service line with the continued view of teamwork and working together to improve patient satisfaction and care. Emily received her medical education at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, completed her residency at McClaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and her Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
